A Day at the Emmys

Last night I spent the day photo editing for the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. This year the Emmys were held just walking distance from my studio downtown at the Nokia Theater. It was fun seeing all the familiar faces and people I’ve worked with in their best.

Kim Kardashian for World’s Most Beautiful

Kim shows me her cover issue of Worlds Most Beautiful with her custom made 3D glasses. It may look like she has the magazine upside down but half of this issue is all 3D.

She’s Got a Lot of Baggage

Look out for Alana on billboards and marques on LA’s west-side. Best known for her modeling work for American Apparel, Alana is photographed here in a Shopaholic parody for the promotion of the LA Jewish Film Festival. Even when we buried her under hundreds of feet of film, her personality and natural beauty remained unfazed. […]

Curators of LA Beats

I walked up the narrow passage to the 2nd floor, the massive sound system slapped the walls like pizza dough.  Slightly intimidating, it sounded promising, but I had been to a few of these ,underground-Downtown LA music-art-scenes, and that grouping of words was starting to build a lack-luster reputation.  As I entered the DJ transitioned […]

Death & Taxes

It is that dreaded time of year where we need to get our numbers nice and neat for our CPA. Though not a difficult task, it always seems to stress me out, making this beautiful image of very high quality tequila all that more appealing. I am not a heavy drinker, but after looking at […]

Crashing Waves Almost Kill Me

The punishing waves of Hueneme beach made for an interesting time while shooting Robby Rendon of Custom X Body Boards. The waves were not clean but for a few sets were double overhead. This was a still and motion shoot – we would shoot video while the waves were good, then hop out and get […]

Synergy Comes to LA

SynergyCorporate Housing came to me to solve a number of their visual needs.  The company had recently expanded into the LA market so it was important to show their current and future clients that they had an approachable staff and great facilities.  To help facilitate these needs we shot corporate portraits  of the LA staff […]

Who Wants Cupcakes?

This apron company approached us to create a lifestyle shoot to promote their fun new line of aprons.  Along with this set up, we shot hundreds of of images of Mothers and Daughters baking cupcakes.  I can still smell the sweet vanilla and brown sugar when I see this image.

$100 to Go From Jacuzzi to Snow

I was on assignment shooting interiors in the exclusive Yellowstone Club,  ,The world’s only private ski and golf community,, in Big Sky Montana.  The shoot days were amazing!  We would wake up early to get some snowboarding in before the light was right to shoot the house, we would shoot just passed dusk, and then […]
