As an automotive/lifestyle director and photographer ATVs, sand rails and a 4×4 truck are enough hardware to feed my need for speed. The trick is hugging the sides of large bowls, trusting the centrifugal force and impressively dodging a nasty fall to the pits. And yes, the taste of sand is delicious.
Although the terrain was unfamiliar and frightening at times, the competition was family and it was outright fun. Together with the family on wheels ” what could be better? Until next year Pismo!
